This workshop is designed for the actor who has trained and/or has worked professionally for approximately two years. The teachers focus on developing the actors commercial skills and personality as well as introducing them to strong techniques that improve auditions and make them competitive.

COMMERCIAL AUDITION TRAINING - Level 2

This four-week workshop is offered only to students who have completed an eight-week Carolyne Barry Commercial workshop. Every session, students will be working on-camera at least 3 times. Amy will focus on dialogue, Improv and group scene auditions as well as solidifying Carolyne Barry’s Blue Sheet tools. Students will practice with cue cards, do product handling and reaction work plus lots of mock auditions. Work will be recorded on memory cards or flash drives (supplied by the students) to be taken home.

ADVANCED COMMERCIAL

In this transformational workshop for the advanced/ professional, Carolyne Barry specializes in defining each actor's unique commercial personality and teaches a strong technique that is instantly performable. Carolyne Barry is known to be the toughest and most thorough teacher working.

IMPROV FOR COMMERCIAL AUDITIONS

This innovative nine week, on-camera course taught by Carrie Dobro prepares actors for commercial Improv auditions where there is no scripted dialogue. Utilizing the comprehensive "Green Sheet," (created by Carolyne Barry) actors will be taught specific improvisation techniques that will create a strong foundation. The techniques and skills gained will help actors to do their best at commercial improv auditions.
Carrie Dobro , utilizing various Commercial Improv audition situations, will focus on building confidence and developing creative freedom as well as working with each student to bring out and trust their unique personality. One night will be devoted to working on how to prevail in those auditions where one has to work with problematic actors. In the seventh and eighth weeks, two casting directors (one each week) will work with the students putting them through various audition scenarios. On the last night, Carrie will review the skills covered in the class so each actor can own their progress.

COMMERCIAL CASTING DIRECTOR'S WORKSHOP

This specialized workshop is designed for the professional actor who has completed their training. Covering all aspects of commercial auditions: Improv, short copy, "spokes" copy, scenes and interviewing. Carolyne and the Casting Directors will work to make your auditions more competitive. Plus there is one night with a commercial director who will work with each actor and give them invaluable insights into how and why the director and advertising agencies make casting decisions.
